The City of PAE, in partnership with Active Inclusion, are hosting an Activating Inclusion Training for Clubs!
Date: Monday 12th February 2024
Location: Largs Bay Sailing Club
Cost: FREE!
Presenter: John Cranwell, Active Inclusion CEO
Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Catering: Pizza's to be provided for dinner at no charge. Beverages available at a cost.
The session will provide:
An overview of best practice of inclusion, diversity and equitable access principles.
Introduction to social norms, bias, marginalisation, privilege and power.
Understanding diversity and stereotypes in our own attitudes and networks.
Nurturing person-centered and welcoming environments via inclusive conversation.
Introduction to disability and impairment, cultural awareness and competency, gender identity and sexuality.
Why inclusion is not a silo process and is good for business.
